Social Mom – Wow! That sounds so interesting.
I am sure most of us engage in some kind of social media practice on a daily basis.
Being a new mom, I have started spending a lot of time online on various social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, Blogs and YouTube. I am sure most of you new moms out there do this too. You will be surely interested to read other moms’ experiences about baby’s developmental activities, to get useful tips on baby care, get expert advice and recommendations. In fact the first thing I do once I wake up, even before I drink my morning coffee, is login to Facebook and check for any updates.
No longer do we need to go to a library and get hands on those hard-bound books with tips and tricks for baby care. You can just Google it out, browse through different blogs, watch a YouTube video for example, to see how to bathe your baby and see what your friends recommend on Facebook or Twitter. Before buying anything for my little one, I really like to get recommendations and read reviews on those specific items even before I make a purchase decision.
The best part is that you can access these social media channels online anytime – while feeding, cooking, shopping and anywhere – on your tablet, smartphone or laptop. BabyCenter blog is one of my favorite website these days. I also use the BabyCenter app – My Baby Today on my iPhone to track weekly and daily baby activities. Furthermore, you get all kinds of information from baby food to clothing.
According to a research and in-depth survey by BabyCenter, Moms lead the social usage!
And truly said.. After Giving Birth, New Moms Spend More Time on Facebook!
